Meet Dr. Nizam
Dr. Nadia Nizam is an orthodontist in Calgary, Alberta, who specializes in creating beautiful smiles for all ages. Dr. Nizam obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with Distinction from Dalhousie University, Halifax (2003) and her Master of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics from the University of Western Ontario, London (2009). Before starting her orthodontic career, Dr. Nizam was a Captain in the Canadian Army, stationed in Kingston, Ontario.
Dr. Nizam BSc, DDS, MCID is passionate about her career and maintains membership with local, national and international associations. Dr. Nizam runs her own study club where she educates general dentists and their staff on the need for orthodontics and when to refer patients to a specialist.
Dr. Nizam enjoys spending time with family, friends, running, hiking, cooking and baking. Her dream one day is to become a Le Cordon Bleu Chef. She loves to travel and explore the world and its diverse cultures. She and her husband are proud parents of two beautiful children. They travel at least 2-3 times a year to somewhere they have never been and teach their children the value of diversity and adversity.
She and her staff believe in treating patients exactly the way they would treat a member of their own family. Dr. Nizam appreciates that parents and individuals make a large financial commitment when they start the journey of straightening their smile and bite. She takes this commitment seriously and respects it.

Linnea
Financial Coordinator
My name is Linnea and I am the Financial Coordinator at Impressions Orthodontics. My goal each day is to create a warm and welcoming environment for each and every one of our patients, making the journey to a beautiful smile a fun and pleasant one. Growing up, I can remember how nervous I was to have braces but the immediate confidence boost you feel when your smile is perfected, is a moment I am happy to be a small part of. When I am not working with the amazing Impressions team, my husband and I enjoy trying out new restaurants in our city and long walks in the park with our dog, Willow. We love to entertain friends and family, enjoying each other's company over a home-cooked meal.
Kate
Patient Coordinator
My name is Kate, and I am the Patient Coordinator at Impressions Orthodontics. From the moment I joined Impressions, everyone welcomed me with open arms, making me feel like I've always belonged to this amazing team. My goal is to ensure that every patient who walks through our doors feels like they are part of the Impressions family too! Outside of the office, I love spending quality time with my husband, our two daughters, and our dog, Sadie. I enjoy watching horror/thriller movies and listening to 80s/90s music. In the summer, you can find me relaxing on my paddle board at the lake, soaking up the sun. I also have a passion for travel, and each year, we take a family trip to explore new places!
Amadia
Treatment Coordinator
My name is Amadia and I am the Treatment Coordinator. The amazing team at Impressions Orthodontics made me feel at home when I joined the family and it's my goal to extend that great experience to all our patients. My hope is to create a kind and welcoming atmosphere for our patients from the moment they walk through our doors. When I had spacers, braces and retainers of my own the warmth, positivity and kindness I was shown made all the difference to actually enjoying the journey. Getting that perfect smile is something to celebrate and enjoy. It's amazing to see our patients achieve their goals! Outside of the working environment you'll find me with my husband and dog, Indie. We love camping, hiking, visiting the ocean, trying new recipes, spending time with family and friends, and occasionally being couch potatoes. We also love to travel and dream of converting a retro RV one day to explore up and down the west coast.
Kierra
Clinical Assistant
My name is Kierra and I am a register orthodontic assistant at impressions orthodontics. My love of orthodontics came from seeing the joy and confidence being brought back to each patients after they see their new smile and just being able to play a small part in that is what makes me love what I do. This is also why I am so happy to come to work each day and work with this fantastic team where everyone including our patients are treated like family. Most of my leisure time away from work is spent with family and friends. I try to spent some time travelling and enjoying nature, but I love being able to share my baking skills and talents with others.
Lamphel
Registered Orthodontic Assistant
My name is Lamphel and I am one of the Registered Orthodontic Assistant in Impressions Orthodontics. I strive for positive interactions between my workmates and patients to create a cheerful and engaging atmosphere, as I believe in the importance of connectivity to achieving a perfect smile. Here at Impressions, I am glad to be a part of the family and work in a friendly and collaborative environment, where a boost in confidence in our patients when they see their excellent smile is evident. Outside work, I spend quality time with my husband and my daughter.
Dinna
Clinical Support Practitioner
My name is Dinna, and I’m a Clinical Support Practitioner who genuinely loves what I do. On any given day, you’ll find me scanning teeth, taking photos, and capturing panoramic X-rays. I work closely alongside Dr. Nizam, our assistants, and the front staff team, supporting wherever I’m needed.
What I love most about my role is knowing I’m part of something bigger. Every image I take and every task I support contributes to someone walking out with more confidence than they walked in with — and that matters to me.
When I’m not at the clinic, I stay just as busy. I offer sugaring, brow waxing, and lash lifting — another way I help people feel confident and polished. Precision and attention to detail follow me everywhere I go.
On my downtime, you’ll usually find me relaxing with my beautiful beagle cross, Bo. She keeps me grounded, entertained, and occasionally covered in dog hair — which I’ve accepted as part of the lifestyle.

Clinical Support Staff
My name is Mariana and I am part of the Clinical Support Staff at Impressions Orthodontics. I enjoy helping the team make sure everything is prepared for our patients so their visits feel smooth and comfortable from the moment they arrive. I have a background in dentistry, and being part of a team that helps create beautiful smiles is something I truly enjoy. Growing up, I wasn't always the best patient at the dentist, so I understand how important it is to help patients feel relaxed and cared for during their appointments. I am originally from Mexico and love bringing positive energy and a warm attitude to the office each day. Outside of work, I enjoy watching movies, trying delicious food, and I definitely have a big love for chocolate.

Clinical Support Staff
My name is Gracey and I’m apart of the Clinical Support Team at Impressions Orthodontics, where I love helping patients feel comfortable and confident while working toward their best smiles. One of my favorite parts of the job is connecting with people and bringing positivity to their day. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of such an important transformation in someone’s life. When I’m not at the clinic, you can usually find me enjoying the outdoors, reading, and playing guitar. i also enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love staying active, travelling, and making the most of every moment with the people closest to me.
Diana
Sterilization Assistant
My name is Diana and I am a Sterilization Assistant for Impressions Orthodontics. My primary responsibility entails ensuring all instruments undergo proper sterilization according to Alberta's Infection and Control Standards, while staying updated on any modifications to our sterilization protocols. Working alongside a fantastic and compassionate team, I take pleasure in engaging with our patients daily, and witnessing their cheerful expressions. Typically you will find me bustling in the background, greeting patients, and offering assistance wherever necessary. I enjoy learning new things, and helping others. Outside of work, I cherish moments with loved ones, relishing outdoor activities such as camping, horseback riding, hiking, and exploring new destinations. Additionally I adore leisurely walks and spending quality time with my husband, daughter, our furry companions-Sampson, Isabella, and Charlie.
